The Bothrium Beast was a non-sentient creature found in the Rooted Depths of the planet Oricon. The creature was very similar in appearance to Gree race, but much larger, leading some scientists to speculate that the creature was somehow related to or mutated from Gree race.
During the Dread War in 3638 BBY one of these creatures was responsible for spreading corruption across Oricon in the form of Tentacle Beasts. A team of the operatives recovered several bioenergy enhancer devices from Dread Guard beast lords and acolytes in the vicinity of the Rooted Depths and used them to locate the Bothrium Beast's lair. They then confronted and killed the creature, despite its ability to drain the life energy from the summoned tentacles.
